It is not easy to fully present the exceptionality of this didgeridoo. It is a completely different view to sound and playability of didgeridoo in a way that even brings you closer to the roots. At the same time this is a didgeridoo which teaches you again how to circular breathe, how to control your body and all the natural didgeridoo aspects on one side, and on the other side new sound possibilities… [...]
This is the shortest didgeridoo we have, but with one of the most stunning appearances. It is a nice little didgeridoo, playing moderately loud and fairly easy, and one of the rare Duende examples that surpass their sound by their looks. This little stick has drier sound, in a good way. It is not so short, and bell is not so small in common sense, but when compared to other instruments in this place, it is… [...]
A 180+cm didgeridoo in D was always rather desirable in didgeridoo world. So we had to take a peek into what is there, and one nice piece that we found was a semi-opened channel, strongly conical, moderately big instrument with strong and clear drone and nice toots. The sound of this instrument is very convincing. Loud, clear, easy vocals, easy toots, strong dynamics… [...]
This didgeridoo is an example that harmonious proportions, and inner sense can put inside a tube much more sound than it appears on the outside. This particular instrument had specially good genes for this as it has a really nice old hard wood as well as design taken from the famous C which is played on Stinkirum, Lake of Awareness, The Spatialist, Valso de Sufokato, Point in Line… [...]
This was the first eucalyptus trial of how much of deep sound can be put in really small package. The result is quite expected. A bit more than expected! But let us see what we’ve got. Sound of this didgeridoo is mostly in mids and highs- compared to other didgeridoos of course, because the basic note of (very much almost) every didgeridoo is bass… [...]
The reason into venture to make this didgeridoo was further exploration of the “Archangel” shape, on smaller instruments. In this case, this exploration was very rewarding. Sound of this didgeridoo is so thick it can move a brick, so warm, so full, so dark, it is oozing with character and it is beautiful to play and look. You will recognize the effect big chamber of this didgeridoo has on the sound right away… [...]
This didgeridoo was made as one of the first Duende experiments. It still has a soul of a Duende, its drone is rich, toots full, and it allows vocal exhibitions. However, due to being an „experiment“ it does not have the perfection of crafting or sound as most of its siblings do. However, one thing that it beats most of them, and that one thing is not so unimportant sometimes, is its price… [...]
This didgeridoo was for me, one of first proofs that there is a world beyond known didgeridoo instruments. This world was formed by Ãœber-didgeridoos, avatars, god-given instruments that blew away limits of possibility of didgeridoos, as well as all prejudices how didgeridoo should or can sound. The sound and playability of this instrument is a wonder to me… [...]
This instrument is in the heart of most exquisitely balanced didgeridoos. It is a Zen master of a drone. And its appearance is so smooth that one would most rather take it to bed. At least that what we’re told. Wood it is made of is very rare in didgeridoos. Its sound has two basic qualities. Power and smoothness. This is the kind of instrument that you can play to a newborn baby… [...]
With nickname „Royal“, this didgeridoo shines both in appearance and harmonics. It is a big D didge, with open channel, deep bell, between the class of volcano and grotto. The first thing you could notice about the sound of this didgeridoo is amount of high harmonics while having and extreme bottom end. This is one of the brightest instruments we made, and it is surprising regarding the shape… [...]
