BUY DIDGERIDOO:

A 180+cm didgeridoo in D was always rather desirable in didgeridoo world. So we had to take a peek into what is there, and one nice piece that we found was a semi-opened channel, strongly conical, moderately big didgeridoo with strong and clear drone and nice toots.

The sound of this instrument is very convincing. Loud, clear, easy vocals, easy toots, strong dynamics. If he wasn’t from such a nest of Duende, he would probably be the biggest, the loudest and the strongest didgeridoo in his neighbourhood. This way it is one of the smallest instruments. Though his sound is by size bigger than the instrument.

Sound is strong in bass and lower mids. It falls quite gradually towards higher frequencies and then has a slight lift very high. It terms of quality, this sound is not in the high class, but it is also not in the entry level. It offers some great characteristics like dynamics and harmonics, and lacks certain other to be indisputable, like sound fullness and more balance.

To play this didgeridoo is typically easy, what one could expect from this size/shape.  However due to slight more openness than our „neutral“ channels  and relative shortness, toots are not super-easy to play after you pass fourth  or so… give or take a two depending on your abilities. What is working very nicely is dynamics. That refers to all kinds of attacks – diaphragm, tongue, voice….

In appearance it is a glossy instrument with nice wood colours. Since wood is assembled from more pieces, you may find it nice, more or less how colours of different wood pieces are matched. Two little holes are filled with little stones. One with Fuchsite (green), and one with Sodalite (blue) – mostly on the inside.

In total, buy didgeridoo “Delago” for a nice playing instrument, we would dare say classic didgeridoo. With nice sound, nice, not super-great, but with a super-great price, relatively speaking in Duende sense.
